Worldroad purchase terms

These terms govern purchases and public placements on Worldroad. By completing checkout, you confirm that you can act for the named brand and that you accept these rules. Worldroad is operated through the merchant identified on your Stripe receipt.

1. What a claim buys

A successful claim buys a revocable, nonexclusive public placement on one country in the Worldroad atlas. It does not transfer land, a domain name, government affiliation, intellectual property rights, or permanent ownership. The placement lasts until another eligible buyer completes the displayed takeover price or Worldroad removes it under these terms.

2. Prices and takeovers

An open country costs its displayed minimum. A held country costs 1.5 times the amount paid by its current holder, rounded to the nearest whole cent where required. Checkout charges the exact displayed quote. A completed takeover replaces the live holder and moves the prior placement into public history. The prior holder does not receive any part of the takeover payment.

3. Competing payments

A Checkout session is a quote, not a reservation. If another eligible payment changes the country before yours is finalized, you do not acquire the placement and Worldroad initiates a full refund to the original payment method. Bank processing time is outside Worldroad’s control.

4. Refunds

Successful claims are final and nonrefundable because publication begins immediately after verified payment. A later takeover is part of the product and is not grounds for a refund. Failed payments, duplicate charges, and payments that lose a checkout race will be corrected or refunded. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.

5. Your placement

You grant Worldroad a worldwide license to host, resize, display, and link the submitted name, logo, color, message, and website for operating and promoting the atlas. You retain your underlying rights. You promise that you have permission to use everything you submit and that the destination is safe and lawful.

6. Removal and moderation

Worldroad may hide or remove a placement that violates the content policy, creates security risk, infringes rights, misrepresents affiliation, or exposes the service or visitors to legal harm. Deliberate or serious violations are not refundable. Where practical, Worldroad may offer a chance to correct a minor issue.

7. Service availability

Worldroad aims to keep the atlas available but does not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, payment network failures, security incidents, legal orders, and events outside reasonable control can delay publication or access. If the map display is delayed, the ownership record determines the current holder.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Worldroad is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, expected traffic, lost marketing opportunity, or the actions and websites of other holders. Worldroad’s aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount paid for that claim, except where law prohibits that limit.

9. Contact and disputes

Contact support@worldroad.lol with the Stripe receipt and country name before opening a payment dispute so the payment and ownership records can be reviewed. These terms use the law and mandatory venue applicable to the merchant identified on your receipt, without limiting nonwaivable local consumer protections.
